Ex-Students of GEA had been talking about forming an alumni association for a while, but this thought was mostly discussed among batchmates and not across different batches.
On 29th January 2006, after having read in the papers about the formation of the alumni association, 26 ex-students turned up at the School premises.
It was during this meeting that the idea of forming the association began to take shape. Various names for the association were suggested, and finally
the group zeroed in on 'nostalGEAns'. Aims and Objectives were discussed and decided upon. The official formation process was also initialized.
The first thing on the "to-do" list was to express gratitude and take the blessings of the teachers (present and past) of the School. The present teachers,
ayahs (remember Shankutala Maushi, Saraswati bai, Rukmini bai?), and peons, were honoured at a function held in the School Premises on 26th February 2006.
